Keeping your house clean and in top running order brings with it many benefits to the health of you and your family. It can also benefit the environment as well which of course, ultimately benefits us as well. This environmental effect is also true of the many things we do daily in our home for upkeep and maintenance.
The food we eat has an enormous effect on the environment, and our health. We can help both by purchasing as much as possible from local Organic Farmers. Buying locally also helps reduce transportation and energy costs.
Organic food does not use artificial pesticides, fertilizers, or hormones, and it is growing fast in the industry so that its costs continue to fall. Most of your food scraps can be composted outdoors. Some Vermicompost systems (Worm Farms) are also designed for indoor use.
In the interest of keeping our toxins low and our house clean, we can switch entirely to using things like vinegar, salt & baking soda to clean with.
A new product on the market "Biopure" manufactured by ONE Group uses Organic ingredients but also has the added benefit of Beneficial Bacteria which gradually builds up after repeated use. The "Good Bacteria" eats the "Bad bacteria" leaving a Bio-clean surface. Chemical based cleaners kill both good and bad bacteria leaving a "dead surface".
