Organic Skin Care
Reducing the number of chemicals we are exposed to should be the initial step in looking after your skin. Unfortunately, Chemicals are all around us. From the food we eat, to the air we breath. We can't even wash our clothes without them being consumed by Chemicals. Cosmetics, perfumes and skin cleansers all contain chemicals. Because we apply these products directly to the skin, these chemicals are easily absorbed into our bodies.
The amount of chemicals that we put into our body directly affects the look and feel of our skin. While many chemicals are unavoidable, it is easy to reduce the amount of chemicals we put in (and on) our body by using proper due dilligence when purchasing our Personal Care and Nutritional Products. Modifying your diet to include as many organic, natural and pesticide free foods as possible is a great starting point. Organic foods are best, because they contain no chemicals at all.
Many chemically produced substances have been proven to cause medical problems when tested and used on human beings for prolonged periods of time. It is best to avoid such chemically enhanced products for the best in skin care. Organic and natural skin care products do not contain chemicals, but are made from herbs, roots and flowers. These "natural" ingredients are simply mixed with natural oils and water to produce quality skin care products.
Today "Going Organic" does not just apply to the hippies of Yesterday. Thousands of people choose an organic diet to avoid putting unnatural chemicals into their bodies, so why not do the same for the skin?
In order to maintain healthy skin, you should consume a diet rich in foods of all colors. A diet rich in fruits and vegetables is the perfect way to maintain healthy skin. Vitamins and Minerals found within fruits and vegetables promote skin integrity while vitamins A and C prevent the skin from becoming too dry or scaly. Foods that contain a high amount of fat and grease can promote unhealthy skin.
Reading the Labels before purchasing chemical-free products, is the best thing to do. Look for the "Certified Organic" logo. Further, any product that has a long list of chemicals will not be a natural or organic product. Organic and natural products will identify themselves on the label.
